The Pigmatix Quality Manifesto

Our Quality Policy: Zero Carrier Contamination, Total Repeatability

“Pigmatix is dedicated to manufacturing masterbatch solutions that empower flexible film converters to achieve zero defect rates and uninterrupted extrusion line uptime.”

To achieve this, we commit to four non-negotiable principles: (1) Dedicated Carrier Purity: We formulate and process strictly on Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLD and LLDPE) base resins, guaranteeing zero cross-contamination from high-melting or incompatible polymers. (2) Optical & Dispersive Precision: We verify primary pigment dispersion via spectrophotometer testing (ΔE < 0.5) and two-roll blown film bubble evaluations. (3) Full Traceability: Every lot is assigned a traceable batch identifier backed by certified laboratory test reports (COA). (4) Customer Partnership: We align our quality control benchmarks directly with our clients' line speeds, die pressures, and end-use mechanical requirements.

Scientific Methodology

The Pigmatix 5-Stage Quality Control Protocol

A rigorous, systematic multi-gate QA process covering raw feedstock ingress through to automated packaging and lot release.

01

Virgin Resin Ingress

Every shipment of virgin LLD/LLDPE resin pellets is sampled for Melt Flow Index (ASTM D1238), pellet density, and moisture content before being cleared into production silos.

02

Gravimetric Dosing

Loss-in-weight feeders continuously meter pigment concentrates and base resin with ±0.2% precision, preventing feed fluctuations and color drift during compounding.

03

Twin-Screw Compounding

High-shear co-rotating extruders disperse pigment agglomerates into primary particles while maintaining gentle melt temperatures to avoid thermal polymer degradation.

04

Analytical Lab Testing

Lab technicians test extruded masterbatch samples for spectral color match (ΔE < 0.5), ash content (ASTM D5630), filter pressure value, and blown film sample clarity.

05

Lot Certification & COA

Upon passing all testing criteria, the batch is released with an official Certificate of Analysis (COA). Physical retain samples are cataloged and archived for 24 months.

Polymer Testing Laboratory at Pigmatix with Dynisco MFI and Spectrophotometer
In-House Lab Capabilities

Precision Analytical & Rheological Testing

Our on-site polymer testing laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to verify physical, thermal, and optical properties before any lot departs our plant.

Dynisco Digital Melt Flow Indexer: Verifies melt flow rate (MFR/MFI) at 190°C under 2.16kg and 5.0kg loads to guarantee exact rheological match with your base polymer.
High-Precision Spectrophotometer: Computes CIE L*a*b* coordinates under D65 daylight illuminants to ensure color difference ΔE < 0.5 against client master swatches.
Muffle Furnace Ash Content (ASTM D5630): Accurately measures inorganic pigment and filler concentration (TiO2, CaCO3) to within ±0.5%.
Two-Roll Mill & Lab Blown Film Bubble Unit: Extrudes thin trial film ribbons to visually and optically inspect for un-melted gels, specks, or pinholes.
Regulatory Compliance

Standards & Regulatory Alignment

Pigmatix operates within globally recognized polymer manufacturing and environmental quality frameworks.

ISO-Aligned Management

Our quality control operations adhere strictly to ISO 9001:2015 principles of standardized documentation, continuous process improvement, and rigorous corrective action tracking.

Food Contact Suitability

Standard white, color, and additive grades are formulated using non-toxic raw materials compliant with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 guidelines for direct food contact flexible packaging.

REACH & RoHS Compliance

All organic and inorganic pigments are screened to ensure zero presence of restricted heavy metals (lead, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, mercury) or hazardous phthalates.
